- Provisional amounts
Approval-stage amounts are provisional and may change. The full approval history is preserved on every revision.
- Nominal placeholder invoices
Small amounts such as $1 or $1.08 are invoice placeholders when no quote was requested. They are flagged for review and never treated as revenue.
- Authoritative final amount
The final amount is entered only during completion / archive via the guarded checklist. It is the authoritative finalized operational total — not revenue.
- Immutable archive
Once a job is archived, the original record cannot be overwritten. Any later change becomes a linked adjustment that references the archived original.
